Fashion and Beauty
The cornerstone of any department store, the fashion and beauty departments are some of the most exciting, challenging places to work in retail. Nowhere is this more true than at Harrods.
Womenswear
Occupying the entire first floor, some 122,000 sq ft, our womenswear division comprises a series of individual rooms, each with its own unique character, matching the massive range of brands and designers on offer. It is one of the largest womenwear offers anywhere in the world.
It's a great place for anyone with a passion for fashion, but that's far from the most important quality we look for in our womenswear teams. We need passionate, dynamic, committed individuals who want luxury, fun and prestige as part of their everyday experience.
At Harrods, we place more emphasis on the ability to get to know our customers, to understand our product and to create a look that's unique to each individual. It's what our customers expect, and why our top people are regarded as some of the best sales consultants around. We want people who understand the 'WOW' factor and point of difference, aswell as excellent standards that our customers expect. You need to be 'extraordinary' on all levels, aspiring to be on top everyday you set foot onto the floor.
Menswear
Spanning an area that includes the ground and lower ground floors, our menswear division has gone through a multi-million pound refurbishment, that now positions it as the pinnacle of Men’s style across Europe. The ground floor hosts not just the world’s most luxurious Men’s brands, but now provides the aesthetic environment to match. Boasting marble floors, modern crystal chandeliers, wide open spaces and easy access to a huge array of brands, it offers everything from contemporary designer wear to traditional Savile Row tailoring.
Men’s Lab and Men’s Lounge are located on the lower ground floors, offering a wide range of brands, concepts and contemporary trends along with a gentleman's lounge to review the latest skincare products and relax with some refreshments – turning the Harrods menswear department into an exclusive place to work.
Kids
No need for the kids to miss out at Harrods. From nursery to toddler, daywear to party wear, we can provide it all – along with the same great service and attention to detail you'd find anywhere in the store. We need an element of fun and fearlessness here, as each day is very different, and the individuals here make shopping with children a wonderful experience for all involved.
In fact, childrenswear is one of the most successful divisions we have, as well as one of the most challenging. It takes unusual levels of patience, empathy and understanding to help parents and children make their own choices, which is why some of our best managers begin here.
Sports
Spanning the complete length of the fifth floor, our sports division caters for pretty much every sporting activity you can think of. Skiing, surfing, running, riding, powerplate, pilates, cycling, body building – it's all here, together with the designer sportswear that makes sure that whatever our customers are doing, they look good doing it.
We also offer unusual exclusive items, such as sand buggies and Swarovski crystal football tables, as well as a selection of signed memorabilia for all sports personalities. All of which add up to an exciting place to work for anyone who has an interest in sports and exercise, or just likes to keep fit.
Beauty
The ground floor is home to the exclusive world of cosmetics and perfumery – four halls of beauty with every brand you could wish for to satisfy our customers’ needs. We have the White Cosmetic Hall and the Black Perfumery Hall, as well as Beauty Apothecary for niche products and Lifestyle Beauty for colour and soul. The total space adds up to 27,000 sq ft of pure luxury on the ground floor.
The standards of staff here are impeccable and they are very much 'beauty ambassadors’!
On the fifth floor we have the Urban Retreat Spa - 15,000 sq ft of time, luxury and space for hair, body and treatments – one of the largest in Europe.
All in all the key fashion and beauty areas are some of the most dynamic and challenging places to work, as well as high profile and busy at all times – so it's a full time job that requires a hands-on approach from people that act the part and look the part.
