Programme & Placement Options

The Harrods Retail Graduate Programme

The Harrods Retail Graduate Programme is a 20 month programme based on the shop floor. You will be placed in different departments throughout the programme in order to gain a well rounded experience of the different types of customers that we see at Harrods. You will also work alongside experienced retail and business managers who will support you with on-the-job learning.

Great retail managers recognize the principles of great selling. Our focus is to take that understanding and develop it to include the art of luxury sales. Your training will complement the department that you are in and will aim to equip you with the skills required to sell the product you are working with. The focus will then be to hone those skills and share and coach them within your team. 

On completion of the programme you will be ready for a retail manager position, and will be responsible for sales & service, standards and people within your department. We will continue to support your development by making further workshops and activities available to you.

The Harrods Placement Programme

The Harrods Placement Programme provides a 12 month opportunity for talented and driven undergraduates to experience our business during their year out in industry.

Through a variety of shop floor and behind the scenes placements, you will understand how the business works and will have experienced managers to support you with on the job learning.

If after your year with us, you would like to join Harrods when you graduate, we will discuss the options with you at the end of your placement.

The Harrods Specialist Programme

The Harrods Specialist Programme is a 20 month programme offering graduates with relevant qualifications a position in areas such as Finance, HR and IT.

We believe that a good understanding of the shop floor is essential for anyone joining the business. You will therefore start your journey on the shop floor, as many of our specialists have done before you, and it is here where you will learn the core of our business – selling combined with exceptional customer service.

After experiencing the winter sale on the shop floor, you will join your specialist area and will have the opportunity to further your professional development by studying for a specialist qualification.
