UnderGraduate Work Placements
Often referred to as sandwich courses within a work experience or sandwich year itself, an undergraduate work placement provides the chance to put into practice the skills and knowledge you acquired in your first two years at university. Such experience will give you a useful insight into your final year at university and prepare you for the job market. Undergraduate work placements last between 9 and 10 months and include specific training and development relevant to the role
You must be:
- 18 years old or over
- Studying for a degree (relevant to the department you would like to work in) at a university on Harrods Resourcings’ partner list
The placement:
- Lasts from between 9 to 10 months
- Comprises a set business role with specific role requirements, competences and measurements
- You will receive performance reviews, training, support and guidance, along with feedback for your professional portfolio
- You must adhere to company policies and procedures
The pay:
As a fixed-term contract the pay is defined by the rate of pay for the role
The process:
- Placements are advertised on harrodscareers.com and with Harrods partner universities
- If successful you will undergo a formal recruitment process and receive feedback on your performance
- Harrods Resourcing will arrange a welcome day for the successful student
