UNIQUELY YOU TOGETHER HARRODS

Jennifer's journey to Team Leader in Visual Merchandising

Jennifer moved from Visual Merchandiser for Homewares to Visual Merchandiser Team Leader for Fashion Accessories and Private shopping and tells us about her journey.

What persuaded you to change roles within Harrods?

I started the Harrods Management Program in October and I was very focused on achieving my goal of becoming a Team Leader within Visual Merchandising, when the job opportunity arose I was over the moon.

Describe a Typical day in your new role?

There really is no typical day which is part of the reason I enjoy it so much, we get to work with so many different departments around the business. I get to work on Pop Up’s and VIP events alongside working on maintaining our high standards around the store with my team. We work months ahead in VM so we’ve already started planning for Christmas!

What advice would you give to someone who is looking to change roles?

Be proactive in seeking new opportunities, make a conscious effort to make good connections through all areas of the business and ultimately be proud of working hard to achieve your goal.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years' time?

Hopefully still within Harrods having gained a wealth of knowledge and experience from my new role and looking forward to further management opportunities.
