Meet Courtney - Junior Copywriter

Courtney is a Junior Copywriter and she tells us all about her role.

What do you enjoy most about your new role?

Going from a retail sales/support role in Crown Court in Knightsbridge to the Studio in Bermondsey was a big change. I love being able to see all the new clothes and products before they go online and into the store, especially if it’s an exciting new collection. The environment is also different- there are stylists everywhere, photographers, models - there is a lot going on all at once.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?

As far as the writing goes, I’d love to be doing longer, more editorial pieces down the road. I also want to expand into something like front-end website design.

What is the best career advice you have ever received?

Learn how to market yourself.

That could mean learning a new skill on the side to get into a field you’re really passionate about, or up-selling your best qualities/skills for a new role you know you’re suited to but may not have much experience with.

"There is always a way to pivot within your career or even totally change direction."
