Meet Lance- Master Baker

Lance is a Master Baker and tells us what it takes to carry out his role

What’s your role and how do you contribute to the business?

I am a Master Baker and have been in the business for 3 months. I created all the new bread recipes for the Bakehouse and developed the lamination range. I will be upstairs in the new Bakehouse baking off the bread and also man managing the team both upstairs and down as well as developing new products when the bakery is up and running.

Passion, knowledge and determination

Why would anyone want to work in your team?

It’s new, exciting and fun. We are making everything by hand in an artisan way. You will be working with the best produce every day from all over the world. You will be part of a team who pushes every day to achieve excellence.

Why Harrods?

The opportunity to open a bakery with Harrods has been my career highlight. Knowing the breads I have developed will stand the test of time for many years to come as well as help relaunch the bread back into Harrods. For someone who is still young, it doesn’t get more exciting than this. That’s what drives me every day to always better myself and push my team.
