Meet Nadja - CRM Store Communications Assistant

Nadja has moved from Assistant Manager in Designer Collections to CRM Store Communications Assistant and shares her career journey.

What skills from your previous role can you transfer over to your new role?

I’ve been lucky enough to be a rewards ambassador on the floor before moving over so it’s given me a great chance of gathering feedback from the retail side to be able to adjust how I approach it from the communications side. I’ve also always really enjoyed the coaching and training side of management and my new role gives me a great chance to utilise those skills as well as work on them.

What support did you receive while working towards your new role?

While in food I had the opportunity to be rewards ambassador for the division. Not only was I supported by my fellow managers to train and implement new ideas but the support from Peter and Henry at the time was great and gave me a real chance to show off what I could do. I was also lucky enough to work with teams who were open to new ideas so I could try out new things. The rewards ambassador program was crucial in getting me my new role and I would recommend it for anyone who wants to try something new.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?

I would definitely still like to be in Harrods. I have always been interested in the Communications and Public Relations side of the business, so hopefully something to do with that. Having just changed my career path it’s a difficult question to answer but I can definitely say it will have something to do with area I am now in.

What's been special about your journey within Harrods so far?

I’d say the best thing you can do is meet people and get involved in whatever projects you can. It not only gives you a chance to experience other parts of the business but it gives you the chance to work with different people. here, if you take the initiative to get involved, get to know people and go for what you want, a lot of opportunities open and it’s the best place to experience something new.
