Meet Ruby - Transaction Service Associate

What steps did you take to gain your position?

I spent two months working in the Harrods Christmas grotto as temporary sales associate, which allowed me to experience and understand the ethos of Harrods. When this came to and end I was offer a temporary position in transaction services, I took all the advice from off the staff, which enabled my to understand my job role. I received support from my managers, I worked hard and the task given to me and really enjoy my role.

What is the best career advice you have ever received?

In school I knew my limits, this made me work hard to prove them wrong, now having completed a degree and having a job at the leading luxury retailer, I feel that I have proved them wrong. So the bests career advice that I have received in not to give up and never let anything get in your way.

Where do you self in 5 years time? My goal right now is to work hard in my current role and to the best that I can do in my current role.  I will take every opportunity to develop my skills, and I will use my experience to take on new opportunities and responsibilities.

Describe a moment at Harrods that made you feel proud?

I feel proud to part of a such as great team of people in such as iconic store that has a sense of heritage history and luxury. The proudest moment at Harrods so far was being part of the Christmas grotto , know that a services was providing families with a experience that they are never going to forget.
