H Café in Henley-on-Thames

We caught up with Chris Dee, director of Food & Home, to find out more about our brand-new H Café in Henley-on-Thames.
How will the Click & Collect feature at H Café be a more luxurious experience?
While H Café brings the hero products of our Food Hall and Signature ranges to Henley, Click & Collect enables customers to order from and pick up their purchases from the Café – allowing them to experience and access more of Harrods, outside of Knightsbridge. Our luxury fitting rooms mean customers can try on clothing they’ve ordered, and our retail team is on hand to support them if they wish to return an item, order something else or simply browse through our website.
Why was Henley-on-Thames chosen as the location?
Harrods and Henley have something in common in that they are both quintessentially British. The heritage, quality and beauty of our products match those of Henley, making it a perfect fit. Demographically, residents of Henley are comparable to our local customer base in Knightsbridge. We have a large online customer base in Henley, so the Click & Collect feature will be convenient for residents and means they can access Harrods more frequently.
What products will be on sale in the Café?
H Café provides meals for all occasions, from fresh pain au chocolate for a quick breakfast, to our ultimate truffle cheese toastie for an indulgent lunch as well as our Champagne afternoon tea for a Sunday treat. We’ll also be serving cheese and charcuterie sharing platters and take-out salads and sandwiches. Plus, customers will be able to shop from our range of hero Signature and Food Halls products, including tea, biscuits, chocolates, wine and the iconic Harrods green bag. A selection of our Christmas products and hampers will be available to purchase as well.

Tell us something about you that people may not know?
I remember the very first time I visited Harrods – I was 11 years old, and back in York that night, I dreamt of living in the dome on top of the building. Now I can see that dome from my office!
