My three month journey by Cheng

Three months into my brand new role as a Customer Service Advisor and my first time living in London has flown by. I’m so excited to share my journey with you.
 
Firstly, I can’t believe it has been three months – the family atmosphere makes me feel like I have been part of the team for much longer. My day to day responsibilities include handling customer enquiries that come in via email, phone and the store – making each day a unique experience. Once you solve the queries and our customers are very pleased with the outcome it makes you feel really happy because you have just made someone’s day. It’s a priceless feeling.
 
My favourite memory so far has to be when a customer wrote into to share positive feedback about her experience with me handling her query. She was returning a product from overseas to the store for the first time and was trying to locate where her order was. I liaised with the external courier service every day until we received the item to refund her. She was very pleased with how I handled the process. My manager was too and gave me chocolates as a reward. I wasn’t expecting it at all, I was just doing my job, but it was nice to be recognised.
 
If you have read this are thinking about a role in Customer Service here at Harrods, I have a piece of advice. Be yourself and don’t be afraid to ask questions. We’re a family and we work together, everyone is here to help. Also, you won’t regret it.
