UNIQUELY YOU TOGETHER HARRODS

Proud Father

I'm Alex, the Creative Visual Director at Harrods. Put simply, I’m responsible for ensuring our store always looks its best. From our famous Brompton Road windows to our stunning in-store displays, I lead my amazing Store Image team in taking a fresh, modern and consistent approach to creating the world’s ultimate luxury retail environment. My great passions in life are without any doubt, my family, friends and uncomplicated creatives.

This Father’s day is a special one for me, I’m about to go on paternity leave for the second time. My husband and I are expecting twin girls which means very soon we will have three daughters under the age of three! I’m proud to work at Harrods and super grateful for how Harrods has supported my parenthood journey.  Harrods has always been an equal employer and we are very fortunate that the brand has introduced an equal parent policy for any couple or individual who becomes a parent through ‘non- traditional’ means.

As a Father you may question, how do you keep a good work life balance and enjoy Fatherhood? For me even though I am creative, I would consider myself both at home and at work an excellent planner but my advice for others would be; be open, honest and communicate with your team, lots of people throughout their lifetime require flexibility. Don’t be afraid to ask.

From one Father to all those reading this blog, I hope you have a lovely Father’s day.
