Assistant Buyer

Our Harrods Own Label team are now looking for an Assistant Buyer to join us here at Harrods for a 1 year fixed term contract.

About the Role

As our own label team deliver a new strategy, we are looking for an Assistant Buyer to support on own label product development for our Home & Stationary collection. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, contributing to sales targets, managing critical paths, and representing Harrods with top-tier suppliers.

Your key responsibilities are as follows:

• Run sales reports, analyse data, and prepare responses to trading activities.
• Contribute to P&L reporting and respond quickly to Open To Buy spend.
• Keep lessons learned and strategies up to date.
• Conduct regular competitor shops and market analysis.
• Assist in all stages from briefing to launch, ensuring stakeholder accountability.
• Manage supplier documents, sample tracking, and product quality.
• Brief Planograms to VM Implementation team and ensure accuracy on the shop floor and online.
• Coordinate vendor training and range presentations.
• Maintain weekly communication with key suppliers and manage the critical path for product development.
• Oversee the Buyers Administration Assistant, ensuring task efficiency and development.

About You

You will be a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual with excellent PC literacy, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with Illustrator and SAP as a plus. You’ll also demonstrate a strong service focus, adeptly handling interactions with both internal and external stakeholders. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a naturally tenacious attitude, are essential. Moreover, you should exhibit excellent time-management skills, the ability to multi-task effectively, and a readiness to adapt to dynamic priorities.
