Assistant Buyer

Our Home team are now looking for a passionate Assistant Buyer to join their Cookshop category here at Harrods.

About the Role

This dynamic role offers a chance to work at the forefront of the luxury market, contributing to the success of our store and online platform.

You will be responsible for:

• Assisting the Buyer in implementing the department's strategy to achieve commercial targets.
• Research trends and customer demand to select and plan product ranges across all channels.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring strong partnerships and optimal product performance.
• Manage in-season trading through stock management, analysing sales data, and negotiating re-orders or stock swaps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PR, Marketing, Online Trading, and Visual Merchandising) to drive product launches and exclusive offerings.
• Produce and analyse performance reports, floor plans, and weekly trade updates to optimize sales.
• Handle administrative tasks and serve as a key contact for Concession Brand Managers.

About You

You will be a talented professional with previous experience in buying, ideally within the luxury retail sector. You’ll also possess strong numeracy and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel to manage data effectively. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities are essential, enabling seamless collaboration with internal teams and external vendors while driving commercial success.

You will also:

• Be a creative thinker with a keen eye for trends
• Have exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Hold a university degree (desirable).
