We are currently recruiting for Barista to join The Coffee Bar, one of the most special places at the Roastery & Bake Hall, all within our iconic Knightsbridge store.

About the Role 
Our Front of House teams set the scene for exceptional experiences and are an invaluable part of our Restaurants family. Baristas across Harrods are flexible to our customers’ needs and go above and beyond to make anything possible. They know what it means to go the extra mile and nothing is too much trouble.

The role will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to achieve the commercial outputs across the area of business and to deliver on exceptional guest delivery and experience.

 
You will have a focus on daily operational excellence and the role’s key attributes will be delivering a world class bar experience. The main responsibilities are to support the bar team to deliver on the combined Harrods goals, as agreed with the Restaurant Manager.

You will be responsible for maintaining the service delivery process along with the rest of the bar and waiting team that sit within the Coffee Bar space.  

About You 
You will be a trusted team player who has a track record of hospitality experience, with time spent working at a high end bar or café environment. You are comfortable working in a fast paced and busy environment and have great knowledge and a passion for food and drink. You will have the ability to perform duties effectively and at the highest standards with minimum supervision and guidance.  
 
You will have great time-management skills and a strong customer focus when dealing with both internal and external parties. You’ll have exceptional interpersonal skills and a good attention to detail. By being cool, calm and collected, you’ll be able to manage all kinds of situations and think on your feet. 

You will also:

•    Have a comprehensive knowledge of the restaurant drinks menu and allergens as well as a good knowledge of any specials promotions. Able to answer guest queries quickly, knowledgeably and in a discreet manner in line with the highest standards.
•    Engage with and interact comfortably with guests and build a working rapport in service to ensure a smooth and elegant service experience.
•    You are an excellent communicator and you can motivate your colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the operation maintaining company standards at all times.

•    Hourly salary of up to £15.85 per hour (This is made up of generous base salary plus service charge*)
