Dispatch Operative (Nights)

Our Distribution team are now looking for a Nights Dispatch Operative to support the Dispatch department in our Knightsbridge store.

As a Harrods’ Nights Dispatch Operative, you’ll be supporting the Knightsbridge Dispatch team. You’ll make sure customer orders are received on time and any queries arising from these deliveries are resolved to the customers satisfaction.

Please note this position works shifts between the hours of 11pm-7am (subject to change in peak periods) 5 out of 7 days of the week with regular weekend work.

About the Role 

Our Dispatch Operatives play an integral role in the delivery of day-to-day operations for our dispatch department, where we thrive together in bringing moments of magic to our customers and our team.

In this role you will be responsible for:
•    Assisting with collections from the store for general shopfloor orders.
•    Collecting from Press Office, Management Offices, Legal Office and Chairman’s Office, when required. 
•    Assisting with the Courier Desk and any special taxi deliveries.
•    Ensuring all parcels are packed to a high standard.
•    Assisting the administration team with urgent queries.
•    Supporting the team in working towards and achieving deadlines. 
•    Ensuring all operational activities and equipment are maintained to a high standard on a daily basis.

About You 

You will have great attention to detail as you will be checking key details of luxury orders and products on a day to day basis. You will be hard working, quick thinking and have the ability to take initiative. You will be a valuable team player who thrives on getting the job done do a high Harrods standard. You will have great timekeeping ability with flexibility to support the team across multiple functions with the team end goal in mind. 

You will also have:
•    Good PC literacy.
•    Flexibility and readiness to work flexible hours/days and demonstrate the ability to adapt to the changing demands of the role.
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain trusted relationships at all levels in and outside of the business.
