Driver/Loader

Fixed term contract to start from November 2024-January 2025

We are seeking Trunking HGV2 Driver/Loaders to work on a fixed term basis to support winter peak. This contract will be due to start in November 2024 and end in January 2025. You will provide an effective and efficient loading and delivery service from TVDC to Knightsbridge, Heathrow and Gatwick ensuring the highest standard of service excellence that Harrods is renowned for.

About the Role

Reporting into the Trunking Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the correct handling of all merchandise when loading and delivering and ensuring all health and safety procedures and legislation are adhered to.

Other responsibilities and attributes include:

• Remain fully acquainted with the company's Fleet Insurance policy and procedures.

• Maintain high standards of vehicle maintenance, cleanliness, and tidiness.

• Exhibit excellent time-management skills, multitasking ability, and work effectively with minimal supervision.

• Ensure responsible loading, unloading, and safe transportation of merchandise, adhering to legal requirements.

• Complete relevant shipment manifests and adapt to learning new tasks in a high-pressure environment.

• Maintain strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills, while keeping uniforms clean and tidy.

About You

You will be over the age of 21, hold a clean driving license (C), a digital tachograph smart card and a driver (CPC) holder. You will always display integrity and trust, as well as resilience and composure. You will enjoy working in a team and always deliver great performance.
