Furniture Planner

We are recruiting for a Furniture Planner to join our Interior Design team at Harrods. 

As a Furniture Planner, you will provide a professional and personable service to our loyal network of clients. Leading on FF&E projects from beginning to end, you will conduct site surveys, plan furniture layouts and decide on soft furnishing selection in line with the design brief and budget. 

About the role
Reporting into the Furniture Planning Team Leader, you will be joining a team of 2 Furniture Planners to support our team in delivering projects for our diverse clientele. Projects could range from a singular space within their home, to multiple rooms.  

You will be delegated projects from the Furniture Planning Team Leader and take ownership of the full life cycle. Starting with taking a client brief, creation of mood boards and delivering presentations, before bringing these ideas into fruition through effective spatial planning, site visits, installations and regular reviews with your client. 

Working with the Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in securing referrals, increasing conversion rates and to ultimately build a loyal network of clients, delivering a high level of customer service at every touch point.  

About You
As someone who is both creative and technically minded, you will be an ambassador for our Interior Design team and excited to keep up-to-date with the latest design trends and brands. A strong relationship-builder with excellent interpersonal skills, the successful candidate will work closely with teams across the business, including the Retail team, the Procurement team and Business Development Manager as well as external partners and suppliers. 

You will have hands on experience of working on Projects – specifically in the Luxury Residential realm, with an innate ability to manage projects autonomously in line with client deadlines and budgets.

As this is a customer facing role, we are looking for someone who is well presented, professional and has a warm, personable approach. You will be able to manage changing priorities and juggle multiple projects, staying cool, calm and collected along the way. You will also possess:

• Excellent working knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD, InDesign and Photoshop
• Strong customer service focus when communicating with both internal and external parties.
• Superb time-management skills, with the ability and willingness to multi-task.
• Flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing priorities.
