Merchandiser

We are now recruiting for a rare and exciting opportunity for a Merchandiser to join our Technology and Toys Team. This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

About the Role

As a Merchandiser at Harrods, you will take ownership of our open to buy, by analysing historical performance and taking appropriate action in order to maximise our product offering and profit across the Technology and Toys Divisions.

You will partner with our Technology and Toys Buying team to manage stock flow, plan sales, and minimise aged stock in line with their strategy. In addition to this, you will also work closely with our Fulfilment Team, ensuring clear communication with our Distribution team and timely deliveries to/from our depot, store and customers.

Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.

About You

You will be an established Merchandiser or Assistant Merchandiser hungry for the next step in your career, and whilst not essential, a solid background in the Toys or Technology world would definitely be an advantage, along with strong commercial awareness.

You will also have:

• Have strong customer service and stakeholder management skills 
• Be an excellent communicator
• Possess good PC Literacy (Word, advanced Excel and SAP)
• Be excellent at managing your time, prioritizing and multitasking 
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to our values
