At Harrods, our Private Shopping Department are responsible for delivering world class service to Harrods’ most loyal clients’. Our ambition is for Harrods Private Shopping to be the ultimate luxury shopping and lifestyle destination.
The Private Shopping Events Manager will conceptualise, brief, plan, budget and deliver high-calibre events in close collaboration with internal teams. Always ambitious; you will push the boundaries to ensure Harrods events are ahead of the competition and exceed our clients’ expectations.
About the Role
As our Private Shopping Events Manager, you will leverage your planning, organisational and commercial acumen to deliver the best-in-class events both in the UK and internationally. These events will be both a creative and a commercial success, fulfilling Harrods and the brands objectives.
As well as this, your responsibilities will include:
- Write briefs for Private Shopping events in line with both Harrods and Brand (where relevant) objectives; whilst ensuring that the briefs are aligned to key KPIs on ROI and client engagement.
- Work closely with Customer Insights team to track KPIs post event and report back to the wider business with a full debrief and drive continuous improvements.
- Define clear sign-off process internally and with the brand to ensure events are delivered on time and on budget.
- Continue to iterate event formats, adapting to meet the needs of our clients, the business and brand partners.
- Support on concepting elements where required.
About You
We are looking for someone who has proven events management experience, as well as extremely well organised, excellent project management and delivery skills with meticulous attention to detail. You will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to quickly form strong relationships with internal teams, clients and suppliers.
You will also:
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
- Be confident in challenging the status quo and pushing boundaries to conceive and deliver truly exceptional events.
- Have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating specific details, information and requirements to strict deadlines.
- Be flexible, creative and versatile; you will pre-empt and propose solutions to problems and respond to challenges promptly and proactively.
- Be a highly effective communicator who builds collaborative relationships with others, and be unafraid to challenge thinking, decisions and processes when required.
- Have confidence to collaborate with and present to senior stakeholders.
