Private Shopping Waiter

Our Private Shopping Waiter will assist the Management team in running the Private Shopping areas effectively by maintaining high service standards and exceeding customer expectations. You are responsible for offering a seamless and unrivalled client journey, achieved the moment our clients walk through our doors, through personalised attention, intuitive and anticipatory service and in-depth product knowledge.

In line with outstanding hospitality standards, you’ll be the gate keeper of our lounge area, preparing all food and beverage components, from preparing coffee, to serving champagne and snacks, serving  Harrods most discerning clients. You’ll ensure the luxury standard of our private areas are maintained consistently throughout the department and that all areas are clean and comfortable.

Our Client Experience Team are both our hosts and our ambassadors, welcoming the most discerning clientele to our Private Shopping Suites. First impressions are lasting impressions; therefore the role of Private Shopping Waiter is fundamental to the client experience curated. In conjunction with the Client Experience management team, you’ll ensure that you provide hospitality against business standards.

About you

You’ll have an ability to thrive under pressure and work with efficiency and pace to successfully manage all customer expectations. You’ll be able to remain calm and composed, you may deal with challenging situations confidently and in a professional manner, escalating issues to management when necessary. You’ll make each client feel special and welcome by ensuring a strong customer focus and a desire to always go the extra mile to continually deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Amongst the qualities that make you shine are:

• Greeting clients in a warm and friendly reception, remaining attentive throughout their visit, and providing clients with a prompt and efficient service.
• Ability to take food and beverage orders in a professional manner.
• Ability to organise and carry out all mise-en-place duties prior to and after service to the required standards.
• Being a team player by supporting and treating colleagues with respect and courtesy.
