Private Shopping Waiter - Mandarin/Arabic Speaking

Our Private Shopping Waiter's will assist the Management team in running the Private Shopping areas effectively by maintaining high service standards and exceeding customer expectations. In line with outstanding hospitality standards, you’ll be the gate keeper of our lounge area, assisting in preparing all food and beverage components, from preparing coffee, to serving champagne and light refreshments, and working with Harrods most discerning clients. You’ll ensure the luxury standard of our private areas are maintained consistently throughout the department and that all areas are clean and comfortable.

About the Role 

The Private Shopping Waiter is an integral part of the Private Shopping team where you will be based in our iconic Penthouse or Private Service Suite. As a Private Shopping Waiter you are responsible for offering a seamless and unrivalled client journey, achieved the moment our clients walk through our doors, through personalised attention, intuitive and anticipatory service and in-depth product knowledge.

This position emphasizes collaboration and allows for meaningful interactions without the demands of regular hospitality schedules, in line with our customary store hours, which is 10am until 9pm.

Below will be your day to day responsibilities: 

• Greeting clients in a warm and friendly reception, remaining attentive throughout their visit, and providing clients with a prompt and efficient service. 
• Make each client feel special and welcome by ensuring a strong customer focus and a desire to always go the extra mile to continually deliver exceptional customer experiences. 
• Having a full and comprehensive knowledge of our menu, allergens and alcohol list to enable you to answer guest queries quickly, knowledgeably and in a discreet manner in line with the highest standards. 
• Organise and carry out all mise-en-place duties prior to and after service to the required standards. 

About You 

To excel in this role you'll have the following experiences and knowledge:

• Fluent in either Arabic or Mandarin
• Experience within Food and beverage or within events
• Preferred experience within, mixology, barista or silver service. 
• Ability to take food and beverage orders in a professional manner. 
• Ability to thrive under pressure and work with efficiency and pace to successfully manage all customer expectations.  
• You will be able to flex your skill set between bar tender and waiter.
