Restaurant Manager

We’re currently looking for a Restaurant Manager to join our welcoming and close-knit H beauty family at The Champagne Bar in Gateshead.

Harrods is bringing more magic, innovation, and theatre not only to the beauty market but also to the dining industry through our H beauty standalone stores across the UK. As this is not a normal beauty hall, we are bringing on board some of the highest profile partners in the business and aspire to provide a world class dining experience all within our unique H beauty playgrounds.

About the Role 

As the Restaurant Manager,  you will be responsible for managing your team and leading from the front to ensure that all parties’ expected standards are maintained at all times. As well as creating and delivering extraordinary customer service, you’ll ensure targets are met while staying focused on operational excellence as the roles key attribute is delivering a world class restaurant experience. 

Driving, supporting and motivating the restaurant team to deliver on the combined Harrods and brand goals and ensuring we have the right talent in place will be part of your main responsibilities. You will understand the long term vision for restaurant regarding its goals, targets and commercials and be able to set plans whilst working with key stakeholders within the restaurant, bar and Harrods to support growth.

Due to the nature of the business, you will be required to be fully flexible with your availability (earliest shift is at 9am, latest finish is 9pm), weekend working will also be required and you must be available to work Mondays. 

About You

You’ll have a strong track record of management experience, either within a high-end restaurant or retail environment. Experience within hospitality isn’t necessary, but having a great knowledge and passion for food and drink is a must.

As the Restaurant Manager, you’ll represent Harrods by living our values day to day, leading by example to create an inclusive environment for your staff. Additionally, you’ll have great time-management skills and a strong customer focus when dealing with both internal and external parties. You’ll have exceptional interpersonal skills and a good attention to detail, which will be evident through paperwork completed, organisation of department and sufficient stock levels. Having good PC literacy is a must (Word, Excel and preferably SAP).
