Our Retail Picking team are now looking for an Operative to support the day to day operations within the online fulfilment department by ensuring efficient and smooth onward flow of goods through from our iconic store to our customers.
About the Role
As an E-commerce Order Picker, you will be at the forefront of fulfilling customer orders within our store, contributing significantly to the success of our department's service level agreement.
Your duties will also include:
• Executing the picking of E-commerce customer orders across diverse product categories from over 100 own-bought and concession brand sites.
• Engaging actively with stakeholders from various selling areas, fostering relationships with stock control divisions and retail teams.
• Handling each order with precision and care, ensuring a seamless and high-quality shopping experience for our online clientele.
• Adapting to in-store activity and managing picking operations accordingly to meet delivery promises.
This is a physical role which covers a large expanse of our store, as on average, our Retail Team Picking Operatives complete 20,000 steps a day.
This position is a 12 months Fixed Term Contract up to June 2025. This role works varied shifts between 8am and 9pm across any 5 of 7 days a week with regular weekend work. This role is paid at £13.26 per hour.
About You
You will demonstrate clear communication skills, maintain composure and professionalism while interacting with customers. Your business-oriented mindset will contribute to our collective effort to meet targets, fostering a collaborative work environment. Your key responsibility will involve picking goods that customers have purchased, requiring a keen awareness of product quality. You will ensure customers receive their orders in a timely manner and uphold our Harrods standards.
You’ll also have:
• Flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience using a PDT (preferred, not essential).
• Good PC literacy.
