Senior Residential Interior Designer

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Residential Interior Designer to join the Harrods Interior Design team on a Fixed Term Contract. This role takes charge of managing the budget for each project, taking ownership of & actively oversee the design, production and delivery of all bespoke items as well as carrying out technical and accurate drawing packages in line with the Client brief. 

About the Role 

 
As a Senior Residential Interior Designer, you’ll lead on a wide range of luxury residential projects from concept development to the management and execution of the design in line with budgets and timeframes. You’ll be responsible for delivering the project strategy through monitoring the work of a Midweight Designer, redlining corrections and ensuring that the approved processes and procedures are followed. 

Your duties will also include: 

• Developing, co-ordinating and pitching of design concepts to your Clients. 
• Establishing detailed project timelines and leading kick-off/wrap-up meetings at each design phase 
• Assist with the development and curation of the materials library, and assist building contacts with suppliers and fabricators 
• Carrying out site, supplier and TVDC visits to ensure design intent and quality is maintained to the highest level. 
• Skilfully resolving detail and technical issues in line with the project’s design agenda. 

About you  

As an experienced Senior Residential Interior Designer, you will have extensive experience working on high end Luxury Residential Projects. Throughout your career you will have managed multiple projects (both in London and Internationally) and lead your design team in bringing these projects to life.  

You’ll possess extensive knowledge of Interior Architecture & Design as well as FF&E products, finishes, their fabrication techniques and operational applications. Possessing not only design flair and creativity, you will also have excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail. You will be well versed in delivering client presentations and happy to travel both domestically and internationally to visit sites.  

The ideal candidate will also: 

• Be confident in using Adobe, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Microsoft Office 
• Be proactive in their approach 
• Be flexible and willing to adapt to changing priorities 
• Be professional and well presented 
• Be able to manage stakeholders from junior to senior level 
• Be a strong communicator
