We have great opportunities in the team to learn new technologies whilst applying your subject matter expertise in the following areas:

Responsible for designing, delivering, maintaining and supporting all components of the Harrods SQL Server database estate which is comprised of physical, virtual and cloud hosted platforms and applications that cover POS, Financial, CRM, BI and eCommerce.

Maintaining and enhancing security, availability and performance and PCI compliance in the SQL Server sphere. Supporting core Microsoft technologies including replication, mirroring, clustering, availability groups, SSIS, SSRS and SSAS.

Assist in and drive current technology projects that promote the adoption of new technology with an Azure cloud focus and continual service improvement. 

The DBA (SQL Server) will act as the subject matter expert for their area of operation and in doing so, will work closely with the with the Application Support, Application Development and Enterprise Services teams.

To be successful, you will have experience in troubleshooting and resolving database issues, have excellent SQL Server knowledge and good T-SQL skills. Additionally, you will possess excellent communication and time management skills.
