Our creative team are a dynamic group of subject matter specialists, tasked with the exciting role of turning business goals and campaigns into user centric designs. Our team are looking for a UX designer to join us in challenging the status quo and innovating the customer journey across our omni-channel platforms.

About you

You’ll be an experienced UX specialist with demonstrable experience in researching and designing the user journey and experience with a mobile first approach. You’ll have experience of defining and creating the user journeys, content hierarchy, wireframes, prototypes and mock-ups. You’ll be a champion of UX design best practises to design solutions to innovate the customer journey partnered with a natural attention to detail to test, improve and develop your ideas. You’ll be an excellent communicator, able to articulate rationale for proposed solutions and advocate for the user with people from design, marketing, editorial and tech teams. You’ll need to be proactive, able to try out your ideas and designs with others to make sure they’re meeting real user needs.

You’ll require expertise in standard UX software and tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Invision Studio or similar is a must. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.

You’ll pride yourself on your expertise, and completing a process of user research before embarking on your designs as well as partnering with the wider UX  and project team to research and understand the behaviours of the business and the targeted user audience.

What to expect

As a UX designer you will have a mandate to drive user focused thinking throughout our design process, using, refining and extending our existing design system.

Your work will involve working with internal clients, sketching, producing annotated wireframes, working with visual designers, advising business analysts and front-end developers, all to bring these projects to completion in a usable, effective and customer focused manner.

You will be expected to use your deep knowledge of user centric design principles, interaction design and attention to detail to guide the business in producing and maintaining a high level of quality throughout our website.
