Warehouse Operative

Overview

We are seeking a hard-working and dedicated Dispatch Operative to join our Harrods .COM team. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth daily operation of our e-commerce services, helping to deliver exceptional experiences to our customers. You’ll be responsible for tasks such as picking customer orders, managing returns, and handling stock operations. This fast-paced, active role requires precision, teamwork, and adaptability to meet the high standards of Harrods.

You will need to be fully flexible, working shifts from 8am–4pm, 11am–7pm, or 1pm–9pm, with extended hours between 7am and 11pm during sales and seasonal periods.

About You

You are a motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to a variety of tasks with minimal supervision. You will bring a high level of organisation, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining Harrods’ exceptional service levels.

Key qualities and skills include:

• Familiarity with large-scale retail stock operations, ideally with experience using SAP inventory systems.
• Excellent time-management skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
• Strong PC literacy and numeracy skills.
• A meticulous and process-driven approach, with attention to detail under tight deadlines.
• Customer-focused with a collaborative team spirit.
• Flexibility to work weekends and varying shifts, including early mornings and late evenings.
• Strong organisational skills to keep the shop floor and stock areas running smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Picking e-commerce customer orders across over 100 own-bought and concession brand sites, ensuring care and precision to maintain a seamless customer experience.
• Processing customer returns, raising queries, and liaising with relevant departments.
• Handling stock operations such as checking, putting away stock, repacking deliveries, palletising totes, wrapping pallets, and managing returns to the shop floor.
• Maintaining housekeeping and Health & Safety standards.
