Agile Delivery Manager

Harrods is looking for a talented individual to lead and inspire our Agile delivery teams, responsible for the development of a number of applications across the Harrods estate.

About you

You must be able to demonstrate experience as a Delivery Manager or Scrum Master, successfully implementing software development projects using Agile methodologies, managing projects of medium/large size and complexity. Being strong technically is a must, so previous development experience would be beneficial, allowing you to provide highly credible leadership to teams and to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.

You require at least 2 years’ experience as a Delivery Manager or Scrum Master, and be able to demonstrate experience of Agile software development principles and practices. At a minimum, you must have attained a first level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I), ideally second or third level (CSP, CTC, PSM II, PSM III).

You must also have experience running/taking an active part in workshops and discovery activities, as well as running/taking an active part in forecasting and planning. You must be able to promote empowerment of the team, ensuring each team member is engaged in the project and making meaningful contributions, and be able to encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality across the team.

Harrods technologies are primarily Microsoft aligned, therefore experience with Azure DevOps and Microsoft Teams is extremely beneficial.

In this dynamic role you will be responsible for leading a number of cross functional Agile delivery teams’ teas using Agile delivery methods in a fast-paced environment. You will be he catalyst for collaboration as well as the technical lead in you discipline. This challenging role will exercise your talents both as a change agent and as a technical specialist.

We use Agile as a framework and take a practical approach rather than forcing our teams to stick to a rigid set of agile rules with no flexibility - vital to your role in Harrods will be promoting the use of appropriate Agile delivery tools and techniques, along with continuous learning and innovation as Harrods IT is underway to transform to a leaner, more agile and collaborative way of working.
