Commis Chef

Here at Harrods, we currently house more celebrity chefs, and exclusive dining brands than any other location in the UK. You will be joining a passionate, supportive, and successful dining team, all within our iconic Knightsbridge store. 

We're looking for a Commis chef who loves being at the heart of the action to join one of our exciting and exclusive new restaurant openings. 

About the Role
As a Commis for our high profile new opening, you’ll be at the heart of the action, preparing and organising ingredients, and keeping the kitchen clean. Reporting into the Chef de Partie, you’ll be a key member of the team, whose role is integral to the smooth operation and delivery of the Kitchen operations.
  
You’ll be responsible for the organisation, stock rotation and labelling of food stored ensuring that all administration for own section is completed and complies with the deadlines set. In this role, you’ll guarantee that Food Safety standards are adhered to by enforcing the high standard of hygiene and sanitation in all food-related outlets. 

About You  
You’ll have a strong track record of hospitality experience, preferably within a high volume and/or branded restaurant environment.

As this position will be based within a highly anticipated, exclusive new restaurant concept, you’ll need to be able to keep a cool head under pressure, have great time management skills and a strong customer focus when dealing with both internal and external parties.

In return you'll be given all the training and support you'll need to develop your kitchen career at Harrods. 

You’ll have exceptional interpersonal skills and a good attention to detail, which will be evident through paperwork completed, organisation of department and sufficient stock levels.

•    Competitive hourly salary of up to £15 (made up of a generous base salary plus service charge)*
