Enterprise Architect

Our IT department are recruiting an Enterprise Architect to lead a specialist team and drive the implementation of strategies, principles, and standards for enterprise architecture and enhance our technology roadmap. This unique opportunity will play a dynamo role in developing our architectural strategy as well as keeping a hands-on role in key solution initiatives.

Working alongside the Business Relationship Managers, this role will interact with key business stakeholders to ensure ongoing alignment of the technology roadmap with the business direction and objectives. As the lead of the team, you will be accountable for setting and evolving the working practices, standards, and quality of architecture for Harrods IT and ensuring that architecture is coherent, secure and takes a holistic view.

About you

You will be a season solution architect accustomed to driving the design and implement of large scale, mission critical applications. You should be versed in using enterprise architectural frameworks, tools, service-oriented architecture and building architectural roadmaps. It is also required to be qualified in computer science or equivalent and be recognised as a capable problem solver for real business challenges.

To be successful, you will need to have a deep enough understanding of across all facets of architecture to provide quality oversight to the team’s work. You will be confident to challenge the status quo, able to build a consensus and drive and agree technical direction. You will have well developed team leadership skills, a natural influencer in your work and a capable communicator. You will be able to see beyond the parameters of a single project to identify patterns, risks, trends, and strategic context more broadly within the organisation.
