Fine Watches Quality Controller and Administrator

We are looking for an individual to work within our Fine Watches Department as both an Administrator and a Quality Controller. You will liaise across both departments, working in both our workshop and our back of house areas. This position will be a fixed term contract for 10 months.

About the Role 

In this role, you will be responsible for liaising with clients, and both internal and external workshops to discuss developments with items brought to our Aftercare department, and clarifying any aspects outlined by the Workshops. You will handle verification and payment invoices of all works, and ensure repairs are updated systematically. 

Within this role, you will also:

• Support the front of house Consultants and Management team with answering general client queries around their timepieces and repairs. 
• Manage an inbound and outbound flow of repair estimates, and chasing brands when needed. 
• Build and maintain relationships with external brand partners, in order to expedite exceptional cases and foster collaborative working. 
• Carry out thorough quality control on all client repairs received back by the brand and internal workshops, verifying all proceeded work was completed correctly.
• Maintain a clear log of all work that has been accepted back into store from the brand workshops. 
• Manage aftercare invoices, ensuring SLA’s are met and coordinating all resulting client communication
• Maintain and update all internal contact and pricing documents to ensure accuracy of information.

About You 

You will have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel programmes, being organised, and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task in accordance with changing priorities throughout the day. You will be comfortable liaising across departments and with clients, using strong and effective communication skills.

Essential qualities for this role also include:

• Prior experience working with Fine Watches and Jewellery.
• High attention to detail in regard to quality control; ensuring that the watches are being handled correctly, in a way not to damage them.
• Knowledge in the technical aspect of watches; understanding how they work, how they are made, and what is included in the making of a watch.
• You will be comfortable working within the Workshop, being able to use and handle the tools provided to complete any services required to the watches.
