We are looking for a hardworking Fire, Health and Safety Officer to join our in-house safety team to provide a proactive attitude to daily routines and a reactive response to incidents of fire, flood and first aid.

As a collaborative team player, you will maintain the continuity of your team’s workload and responsibilities, as well as communicating and liaising with all members of the Security and Fire, Health and Safety departments.

The role offers a full, in-depth six month training programme and once fully trained our Fire, Health and Safety officers have a passion to help and a duty to protect our customers and employees alike.

Duties will include but not limited to:
•    Operating a fire control room
•    Delivering training presentations to audiences ranging from 1 to 100 persons
•    Conducting store opening and closing patrols and patrols of areas of higher risk.
•    Conducting risk inspections amongst the retail, back of house and worksite areas
•    Overseeing the testing of the fire alarm, detection and suppression systems
•    Draining down and charging up of sprinkler systems
•    Maintaining and servicing fire extinguishers

Hours: 12 Hours per day
Contract: Permanent
Shift: 4 days on 4 days of mixture of day and night shifts
Additionally, extra hours and/or days of work may be required; therefore a flexible approach is essential.

 

This role is physically demanding and as part of your application you will need to showcase strong overall communication skills
