Head Chef

We are currently recruiting for a Head Chef to join our passionate, supportive, and award-winning dining team, all within our iconic Knightsbridge store. Here at Harrods, we currently house more celebrity chefs, and exclusive dining brands than any other location in the UK. 

About the Role

As Head Chef of The Grill at Harrods, you will take the lead in delivering exceptional food within our world-class Dining Hall. This is a fast-paced, operational role where your focus will be on ensuring the seamless execution of service. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the kitchen, setting production levels, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring smooth coordination with our in-house Production Kitchen to guarantee efficiency and consistency.
Leadership is at the heart of this role—you will inspire and guide your team, striking the balance between hands-on coaching and clear direction. You’ll build strong working relationships with key support functions, including Food Halls, Restaurants, Food Safety, Distribution, Store Services, and HR, to ensure every aspect of the operation runs flawlessly.

About You

You are currently a Head Chef or Senior Sous who is ready for the next challenge, with a strong track record in high-volume, quality-driven environments. Ideally, you have worked within a high-volume, high end restaurant, or a well-regarded branded restaurant group. Experience working within a grill restaurant, along with a knowledge and passion for meat cookery would be a significant advantage. Beyond leading your team in The Grill, you will also play a key role in supporting other outlets within our Dining Hall when needed. 
You’ll have great time-management skills and a strong customer focus when dealing with both internal and external parties. You’ll have exceptional communicational and interpersonal skills as you will be interacting with other business areas in your day to day. You’ll ensure good attention to detail, which will be evident through paperwork completed, organisation of department and sufficient stock levels. Having good PC literacy is a must (Word, Excel and preferably SAP).
