Harrods Interior Design has an immediate vacancy for a highly driven and talented Interior Designer with over 3 years’ experience to join its studio in London.

The successful candidate will work exclusively on high end residential projects within the UK and internationally.

About you

As Interior Designer, you will assist in delivering a wide range of luxury projects from concept design, preparing high-quality rendered presentations and though to installation. An in-depth knowledge of FF&E products and suppliers is a requirement, with a creative flair and love of researching new products and finishes.

Key responsibilities

  • Assists the Senior Designer in the delivery of large projects from concept through to completion and capable of autonomously and efficiently leading smaller FF&E projects.
  • Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills.
  • Turn around design presentations and sample mood boards to consistently high standards and with tight deadlines.
  • Prepares detailed drawing proposals and schedules including FF&E specifications and bespoke joinery drawings.
  • Assist with the development and curation of the materials library and assist building contacts with suppliers and fabricators.
  • Carries out site, quality control and snagging visits to ensure design intent and quality is maintained to the highest level and reports accurately and adequately, following Company processes.

Qualifications and experience

  • Formal qualification from an accredited architectural or interior design institute.
  • Minimum 3 years’ post graduation experience working in the high-end residential sector.
  • Vast knowledge of FF&E products, finishes and suppliers.
  • Strong design skills with a flair for client presentations.
  • Strong technical knowledge (joinery and detail design).
  • Experience designing contemporary, California-style interiors an advantage

Key proficiencies

  • Must have a high level of proficiency in AutoCAD with minimum 3 years’ experience.
  • Must have a high level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel for programming and project schedules.
  • Proficiency in 3D modelling and freehand sketching skills an advantage.
