Kitchen Porter

As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll be responsible for the collection and delivery of food products between the Harrods Tea Rooms, Pastry and Production Kitchens as required. You’ll assist in the collection, storage and distribution of all kitchen deliveries and maintain the appearance of the working areas as directed by a Senior Chef.

You’ll carry out the cleaning of all designated areas and equipment adhering to instruction and in line with hygiene, health & safety procedures. You’ll ensure safe working practices and handle and store all equipment and cleaning materials.

About you

As a Kitchen Porter you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the Kitchen required by Harrods and all relevant external bodies.

• You’re reliable and work well in a team – pitching in without being asked
• You have high hygiene standards
• You adhere to all regulations as set out in the Health & Safety at Work Act, Food Safety and internal policies and procedures
• You can work at height using ladders and do heavy liftings
• You’re accustomed to use industrial cleaning machinery
