Kitchen Porter Team Leader

At Harrods we currently house more celebrity chefs and exclusive dining brands than any other location in the UK, and right now we are looking for an exceptional Team Leader to join our Stewarding team in creating the magical experience that is Harrods. You will be joining a passionate, supportive, and successful brigade, all within our iconic Knightsbridge store.

About the Role

Reporting to the Stewarding Supervisor, you’ll be leading the Stewarding team in accordance with Harrods policies and procedures in order to maintain hygienic standards. 

You will be responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen, ensuring a high standard of hygiene at all times. Working alongside the Chefs, you will have to follow clear instructions and show a great sense of initiative to ensure that all agreed standards of cleaning are achieved in a timely manner. 

You’ll assist with a variety of different sections in the kitchen. This will include implementing deep cleaning schedules for all outlets, monitoring stock and maintaining daily production levels. Assisting in the collection, storage and distribution of food products and kitchen deliveries will be part of your daily activities as well. You’ll be creating rotas, implementing Health and Safety regulations and reporting any faults or concerns accordingly. This role will also involve heavy lifting and exposure to potentially hazardous chemicals.

About You

You’ll have previous experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader within a kitchen environment, ideally at a Restaurant or Hotel kitchen. You’ll need to be organised, committed and detail oriented in every task you face. As this is a physical role, you must be physically fit and able to lift heavy items and use industrial cleaning machinery.
