  • We are seeking a strong, dynamic and fresh thinking Digital Brand Partnerships Project Manager who will ensure the delivery of Harrod’s E-Concession project – including the launch a newly created concession brand operating model encompassing catalogue management, production, fulfilment & supply chain. This role will offer the candidate the opportunity to shape the creation and delivery of the model, working directly with luxury brand partners. This role will also be key to the creation of the longer-term brand development roadmap for the ecommerce business.

    The role will provide project management expertise and lead internal and external teams from a variety of technical & business disciplines to deliver new operating model and functionality to the business. This will not only involve the production of detailed plans and project documentation but also continual leadership of the project team through the provision of support and guidance. 

    Ensuring communication is maintained between all stakeholders throughout the project is essential, as are excellent change management skills. Knowing who to engage with and when, to ensure the project stays on track - at all times - is vital.

    The Digital Brand Partnerships Project Manager’s prime responsibility is to ensure that all organisational procedures are adhered to, objectives are set and met, and that all benefits are fully realised from the implementation of the change. Successful delivery will be achieved through adapting both agile and waterfall methodologies as appropriate.

    The Digital Brand Partnerships Project Manager will bring experience in ensuring assigned projects produce the required deliverables within the defined quality, time and cost constraints and allocated projects will involve close supplier management of key third parties. Key stakeholders will include, but are not limited to, Brand Partners, E-Commerce, Buying, IT, Finance and Operations.


    Please be advised this is a Digital role and will require knowledge of E-Commerce operations and retail IT infrastructure.

    About Us

    The successful candidate will:

    • Manage Brand Partner on-boarding and delivery through all relevant stages of the project lifecycle from initiation through to closure, as Brand Partners could be at different project phases.
    • Prepare and maintain project documentation, project plans and track activities against the plans e.g. Work Requests, Cost Estimates, Business Cases, Project Briefs, Project Initiation Documents, Project Plans, CAPEX / OPEX Forecasts, Exception Reports, Change Requests, Project Closure Reports etc.
    • Manage the assembly of multidisciplinary project teams to deliver specific projects.
    • Maintain a documented overview of the status of all Brand Partner launches and provide update reports to various stakeholders and forums. 
    • Maintain regular contact with all project sponsors and suppliers to ensure understanding and commitment for the plans and requirements.
    • Lead the collation of project requirements and assisting Brand Partners and Harrods stakeholders with the definition of their needs.
    • Advise and influence internal / external parties, up to senior management level.
    • Be accountable for managing the quality of delivery. Implement the quality management plan to ensure that work is being performed according to required quality standards.
    • Monitor and control project work. Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques in order to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders.
    • Identify, assess and manage risks and issues to the success of the project, escalating exceptions as appropriate.
    • Produce and communicate clear and accurate progress reports for all projects in line with Brand Partnerships Governance & Reporting Calendar.
    • Forecast and set budget requirements for projects and ensure effective utilisation of available resources within budget provision.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures governing the delivery of projects.

    About You

    This role candidates to have experience in:

    • Managing projects within the e-commerce retail sector.
    • The luxury sector (desirable)
    • Be Degree qualified
    • Formal Project Management qualification e.g. Prince 2 Practitioner, MSP
    • Rounded experience of Digital Project Management – managing delivery through all stages of the lifecycle
    • Risk/Issue Management.
    • Strong Governance – Quality, Budget, Timescales.
    • Planning and Control skills, using recognised planning tools e.g. Microsoft Project, JIRA, TMS
    • Relationship Management – Strong demonstrable capability to establish and sustain effective professional relationships at all levels in the organisation with a focus on service delivery and clear communication to enable this.
    • People Management – particularly influencing/managing people without direct authority.
    • Understanding technology roadmaps, trends and releases.
    • Broad business knowledge including commercial, financial awareness so as to manage budget effectively and construct business cases.
    •  A willingness to consider alternative opinions, shrewd and balanced judgement
