We are recruiting for a Senior Facilities Manager to join the team here at Harrods.
About the Role
Reporting directly into the Director of Facilities and Engineering, our Senior Facilities Manager will be responsible for our in house Cleaning & Waste Operation – known internally as Store Service. You will set, coordinate, implement and manage the strategic and tactical objectives of our Store Services across the Knightsbridge Store and associated buildings. You will drive a culture of continuous improvement ensuring the team deliver the highest possible standards of cleanliness consistently and in a sustainable manner.
You will work closely with the Director of Facilities and other Senior Managers to ensure the strategic and tactical alignment of Store Services with the wider Facilities Management vision. You will provide visible direction and leadership, ensuring the team are clear on the businesses expectations, goals and targets.
You will also be accountable for:
- Gaining approval for, managing and reporting on the sectional budget in a manner that demonstrates both cost efficiency and best value.
- Ensuring adherence to all internal policies, processes and procedures and industry best practices.
- Guaranteeing that the cleanliness of the building internally and externally and front and back of house is maintained to the highest possible standard and one that reflects stakeholder expectations.
- Reviewing system operation to optimise performance/efficiency and develop solutions for persistent problems.
- Ensuring that all work is in line with industry best practice adhering to relevant Health and Safety Regulations and any other Legal requirements.
About You
As Senior Facilities Manager you will hail from a facilities background, which expert technical knowledge and understanding of facilities systems and software. You will possess excellent communication skills and be able to communicate effectively at all level of personnel. Your approach will be collaborative and you will be able to adapt to changing situations whilst remaining calm under pressure.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and able to work independently. You will be a well rounded leader, able to motivate and inspire your team and colleagues to deliver their best work. You will also have experience in implementing and leading a culture of continuous improvement.
Due to the nature of our 24/7 business operating 365 days a year, you will be happy to work flexible hours as per business need.
