Senior Head Chef

Here at Harrods, we currently house more celebrity chefs, exclusive dining brands and unique food halls than any other location in the UK. As a Senior Head Chef for our Dining Hall, you will be joining a passionate, supportive, and award-winning dining team, all within our iconic Knightsbridge store.

About the Role

The Senior Head Chef is responsible for leading their cluster of restaurants and teams in the business in a manner that will ensure that a professional and correct operation is always carried out. You’ll be responsible for the operation and organisation of the Kitchen by setting daily production levels and guidelines and delegating to the team. You’ll demonstrate effective management by flexing between coaching and directive leadership, also building effective relationships with support functions such as Food Halls, Restaurants, Food Safety, Distribution, Store Services and HR.

About You

In addition to your stellar track record in the hospitality sector, we're seeking a candidate with a keen eye for business strategy. Your experience at senior levels within top-tier establishments, whether it be a renowned 5-star hotel or an esteemed AA Rosette/Michelin standard kitchen, demonstrates your ability to navigate the complexities of the industry with finesse. Ideally, you'll also have a proficiency in overseeing high-volume kitchen operations across multiple outlets While a deep knowledge and passion for food and drink are undoubtedly crucial, it's your business acumen that will set you apart, driving profitability and shaping our path towards continued success.

You’ll have great time-management skills and a strong customer focus when dealing with both internal and external parties. You’ll have exceptional interpersonal skills and a good attention to detail, which will be evident through paperwork completed, organisation of department and sufficient stock levels. Having good PC literacy is a must (Word, Excel and preferably SAP).
