The Social Media Executive will be responsible for engaging with and embedding social media across teams within the business to give a 360 view of the brand; telling the right story, on the right channel, at the right time. This role with specifically look after our WeChat, Weibo, along with our global channels, including Instagram, Facebook & Twitter.

On hand to execute the smooth running of day-to-day activities across social, the Social Media Executive will also support with the development and implementation of growth and engagement tactics to build content engagement and create participation and two-way conversations.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Ownership of the social content calendars; planning and scheduling content across channels, deciding what is published, on what channels and when.
  • Consulting with key stakeholders to ensure cohesion with marketing, trade and editorial calendars and timelines.
  • Generate content ideas for editorial stories and social activations.
  • Brief stories, assets and any ad-hoc requests to our creative team as appropriate.
  • Prepare monthly social media performance reports, analysing data and metrics providing insight for social media activity/campaign results.
  • Use these insights to generate learnings for future campaigns, sharing actionable recommendations to shape future activity.
  • Support Community Manager with delivery of community management strategy, working collaboratively with customer service and corporate comms team as appropriate.

Personal Profile

  • Fluent in mandarin (written and spoken)
  • Experience overseeing both Western and Chinese social platforms
  • A keen eye for best in class and flawless execution with demonstrated ability to execute on time
  • Self-motivated self-starter who has a flexible approach
  • Thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to last minute requests
  • Detailed orientated with thorough understanding of analytics and how this can be used to track and enhance performance
  • Familiarity with platforms for scheduling, reporting, publishing and analysing social media
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work across multiple teams
  • Passion for social networks and emerging technologies
