Within the Transaction Services department, the Assistant Managers role is to lead a team to be the first line of support to colleagues in processing large and complex transactions. Transaction Services look after financial activity such as bank transfers, VAT invoicing and other processes which support the business in handling transactions in a compliant way.

About the Role

The Assistant Managers are responsible for performance coaching, having the passion and skills to actively spend time with their teams. You will guide, educate and course correct to build expert decision making and ensure the business is protected from risk, whilst creating a feeling of support and care for customers.

Within the role, you will be accountable for service levels, KPI's and overall service performance, identifying what is working and what the opportunities for improvement are. You will plan and deliver motivational daily team briefs that are informative on business performance and updates, customer stories and team successes. You will manage complex issues which can not be dealt with by the team to give the customer confidence that any escalations will be resolved with the upmost efficiency and in a timely way, and have advance risk management skills and make accountable business decisions.

This role is fully on site, working 5 out of the 7 days a week.

About You

You will have a background in financial crimes, compliance and transaction management, with strong technology skills and ability to learn multiple web-based systems. The role requires strong communication skills to build relationships with stakeholders across the business, continually adapting your style to get the best outcomes for your team, customers, and for the business. We are looking for someone with strong people management skills, passionate about nurturing and developing colleagues, and comfortable building a feedback culture with praise and recognition.
