Uniformed Security Officer

You are a hardworking Security Officer looking to join the team at our Harrods Distribution Centre in Thatcham (near Reading).

What to Expect

You will be dealing with physical security, patrols, asset protection, first aid response and emergency situations, our fully trained SIA licensed security officers have a desire to help and a duty to protect. You will remain calm under pressure and react quickly in challenging situations.

As no two days at Harrods are the same, you will need to be highly adaptable.

Whilst our security team has safety as their top priority, providing a warm and approachable face for customers is also key. Committed to exceptional customer service, you will leap at the chance to go the extra mile for our customers.

You will also be required to write reports, document investigations, and keep your personal notebook up-to-date. With this in mind, we are looking for candidates with a GCSE or equivalent in English, and strong overall communication skills.

What is important?

To be successful, you will possess a solid security background with a focus on customer service, ideally within a retail environment. A Guardian Licence or SIA Door Supervisor licence are desirable.

Your working week will consist of a four out of seven days/nights rota made up of day or night shifts. At times, this role can be physically demanding and a high level of fitness is essential on application.
