We are looking for a creatively motivated Visualiser to join our in-house Visualising design team on a part-time, four-day per week basis. Reporting into our Visualising leads, the Visualiser is part of a design team of five in a vibrant, exciting, and creative environment in our Visual Merchandising department.
Our Visualisers work on 3D models, renderings, and 2D visuals, collaborate with all departments within Visual Merchandising and high-end brands, adjust designs based on feedback, and ensure visual outputs meet the high-quality standards for business and client presentations.
Please note, applicants for this role must be able to work on Wednesdays and Fridays as part of the four-day working arrangement.
About the Role
Our Visualisers play a pivotal role in bridging creativity and functionality within design projects. Responsible for creating 3D designs, visuals, and technical drawings, their work encompasses everything from H beauty store and Knightsbridge window designs to our iconic Christmas façades and luxury brand collaboration.
Visualisers require a blend of design, creation, and visualisation, often requiring close collaboration with teams to align with trends, brand identities, and the luxury aesthetic. Ensuring spaces are both functional and visually compelling, our Visualisers support Harrods’ broader business goals by enabling brands to sell effectively and enhancing customer experiences.
About You
You will be passionate about design, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow in a collaborative environment. You will have a good creative eye for visual design and the ability to produce rendered imagery that effectively communicates design intent to the department, business, and brands.
You also be –
• A highly creative individual with either an education in or a passion for design.
• Experienced with Adobe Creative suite (particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign). Prior experience with SketchUp, ProCreate (or other sketching and drawing),
• Cinema 4D is advantageous, but not essential.
• Able to work on multiple projects as part of a team, with the ability to deliver high quality work to deadlines and the resilience to cope with conflicting demands.
• Able to interpret a brief and pull together relevant research, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work.
• An effective communicator, comfortable collaborating with and taking direction from colleagues at all levels, ranging from juniors through to directors.
• Confident participating in team meetings and brainstorming sessions, contributing fresh ideas and perspectives.
