Warehouse Operative - Nights Temp

Salary: £11.50 per hour

We are looking for a hard-working and dedicated Warehouse Operatives - Nights to join our Distribution Centre in Thatcham for Christmas peak. Our Warehouse Operatives play an integral role in the delivery of a day to day operations for our distribution centre, we work together, and we win together in bringing moments of magic to our customers.

Please note this is a fixed term contract position until the end of January 2022.

This position works shifts between 11pm - 7am on a 4 on 4 off any 5 of 7 days a week with regular weekend work.

About You

You will be ensuring the housekeeping standards are maintained within the warehouse environment; you must be meticulous in your approach with a very keen eye for detail. As you will be using online systems in your day to day with the verifying process, you will need to be computer literate. Having background in using SAP systems would be advantageous. You should be able to work flexible hours and days and demonstrate the ability to adapt to the changing demands of the role. Numerical, literacy and communication skills are essential.

What to expect

As an operative you will assist with the night operation of the warehouse, ensuring that all tasks assigned to you are completed accurately and efficiently while following strict service standards. This will include picking, consolidating, and packing of the customer orders.

Our picking team is responsible for delivering products to the next stage of the process quickly and accurately. An integral team in the warehouse, pickers keep the flow of customers products moving.

The final touches before a customer receive their products, the packing team is responsible for ensuring the quality of each and every shipment as well as packing the items correctly. The packing team works together with picking to guarantee that shipments are fulfilled perfectly and owns all responsibility around those shipments. We are a team which means you will be asked to help in other areas out of your normal day to day responsibilities to ensure the operations are running efficiently.
