Driving Forward on Our Path to a Sustainable Future

Posting date: 02/09/25

As part of Harrods commitment to neutralising transport emissions across scopes 1, 2, and 3, we are taking decisive steps to eliminate the use of carbon-intensive fuels in our distribution and supply chain.

Since 2022, our Thatcham operations have achieved a remarkable reduction in transport fuel emissions, from 435 tonnes to just 7 tonnes. This milestone was made possible by transitioning all medium to large sized vehicles in Harrods fleet to HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) and integrating electric vehicles.

This month marks another exciting step forward as we launched a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) trial in partnership with All Truck and DAF. This initiative supports our ambition to fully electrify our delivery fleet and eliminate diesel use, bringing us closer to our sustainability goals.

Watch the video to learn more about our journey and join us in celebrating the arrival of our first electric HGV at our Knightsbridge store.
