About You

You have a true passion for Beauty and proven experience in buying. Self-motivated, conscientious and organised, you will be meticulous in your approach and always have the highest of standards in mind. You will be confident and competent, happy to take on the running of the department in the Buyer’s absence. A motivational leader you will aim to develop your team and always promote personal progress. You will be a natural relationship builder and work closely with Marketing, Press and the Online Trading teams in order to make sure the Harrods Beauty offering is the best in class.

What to Expect ·

Supporting your Buyer in all aspects of the buying cycle, you will assist with product selection and quantifying orders.

Responsible for managing aged stock and over stock through proactive communication with each vendor and processing RTV’s promptly.

Oversee the Buyer’s Clerk(s) to ensure that merchandise is delivered on time and all trouble shipments are resolved.

Conduct all pre-analysis for the Buyer and manage travel for buying trips.

Monitor the sales performance, creating and presenting reports for trade and sell-thru.

Develop and maintain vendor relationships, taking full ownership of some brands, ensuring to provide feedback on performance.

We are a small team but we look after one of Harrods’ most world renowned departments! The pace is fast and the expectations are high so we are looking for a strong Assistant Buyer to join the team. You should be confident in managing a buying department in absence of the Buyer and able to take on full responsibility of certain brands. With the opening of H Beauty this year, 2020 is set to be an exciting time in Harrods history and we are looking for someone to join us in this very unique journey.
