Day Carpenter / Multi-Trade

About You 

You’ll be a self-motivated individual with a pro-active approach and ability to work autonomously. You will hold a relevant City & Guilds qualification or equivalent with on-the-job experience and expertise. From doorways to impressive displays, you will be able to construct and repair building components and furnishings for the betterment of visitors to Harrods. You’ll be accustomed to working in a live site environment and take a health and safety conscious approach to your day to day working activities.

What to Expect
As the successful candidate, you can expect to:  

• Repair interior & exterior wood, metal, masonry, glass & composite building materials
• Repair furniture, shop displays & other furnishings
• Install corner guards, crash rails etc and perform general joinery work
• Construct and remodel offices, stockrooms and shop displays
• Ensure you remain compliant with Health and Safety and legal requirements
• Maintain the cleanliness and care of work areas and shop areas
• Perform further ad-hoc duties

This will be a fast-paced work environment you’ll be responsible and ready to work a 4 on/4 off shift pattern covering the hours of 8am - 7pm on each of the days you will be working.

**Please note: this role will require frequent walking, bending and lifting. You must be comfortable with a high level of physical work, and able to work from steps/ladders.**
