Harrods’ IT comprises technologies that provide services to support our luxury store in Knightsbridge, Crown Court offices, Hammersmith Head Office, Trevor Square and TVDC Thatcham Distribution sites, Harrods’ Airport stores, Harrods Estates offices, satellite offices and remote workers. The IT services are supported by a mix of in-house technology teams and 3rd party technology partners. Our Service team are looking for an End User Computing Specialist to

About you

You’ll be an experienced specialist with a deep working experience of all matters related to End User Computing technologies (i.e. installation, configuration, administration and maintenance).

You’ll be adjusted to managing escalated queries and issues and adept to working with technologies including: Windows 10 (up to and including 1809 and 1902), Autopilot, SCCM, Intune, and many others. You’ll be adept to an enabling an agile workforce across iPhone iPad, HHTs  and desktops. You’ll be a self-driven learner, motivated to embed process improvements and proactive troubleshooting. You’ll require an Appreciation for ITIL and IT Service Management, certifications relating to any technologies mentioned above would be advantageous.

You’ll have excellent time-management skills and the ability, and willingness, to multi-task are very important so that the team can be available to deliver new solutions and provide support for the existing environment.

What to expect

The End User Computing function designs and develops the portfolio of devices across the Harrods business (including Retail, Distribution and Corporate). In this team you will take ownership of the Operating Systems, configuration and associated management tooling (such as SCCM and Intune).

You will present a single face of IT to the customer at all times, engaging with Tier 1 & 2 resolver groups to ensure optimal performance as well as working alongside, and supporting the management of, 3rd Party providers to deliver excellence. 

In this exciting role you will provide 3rd line technical support and expert advice to 4000+ users across the business across a range of EUC technologies. You will take ownership of patching and upgrade lifecycles to ensure systems remain within support. You’ll take ownership of project related activity and ensure it is delivered on time, always following industry best practice, maturing our IT support function from the inside out.
