Financial Accountant

About You

You will have recently qualified as an accountant (ACA) and have experience in dealing with large clients with complex accounting issues and requests. You can demonstrate experience of reviewing consolidated accounts and consolidation adjustments, and will be confident dealing with people at all levels of the business. Proactive with a can-do attitude, you’ll be able articulate to the most complex of financial issues and able to work under pressure.

What to Expect

You will hold responsibility for the preparation of the statutory accounts of Harrods Limited; the company that operates the Knightsbridge Store business, its eCommerce arm, and the consolidated accounts of Harrods Group (Holding) Ltd, the top UK parent company.
 

You can expect to:

• Take ownership of the balance sheet of Harrods Ltd, preparing and/or overseeing the monthly reconciliations of the majority of the balance sheet accounts
• Manage the accounting for the fixed assets of the Business in line with its policy as well as in compliance with accounting standards on capitalisation, depreciation and impairment
• Complete the preparation and analysis of all year end documents, including reconciliation of the statutory and management accounts
• Review and update accounting policies and keep up to date with accounting standards
• Provide ad hoc analysis when required
