About You

To be successful, you will have an interest in Fire, Health and Safety and will have ideally worked in a similar setting, whether working in control rooms or handling the maintenance of safety equipment. You will have a proactive and can-do attitude with an ability to remain calm under pressure and think on your feet.

What to Expect

Proactive, responsible and receptive, our Fire, Health and Safety Officers conduct daily patrols and deliver appropriate response to incidents of fire, flood and first aid across the Harrods store. They provide coverage to our control rooms, handle calls and queries and monitor alarms and sprinklers throughout our famous site.

Promoting our positive safety culture here at Harrods, you will deliver training presentations to internal audiences ranging from 1 to 100 people.  Our team work closely together and take pride in the difference they make to our store. You'll maintain the continuity of your team’s workload and responsibilities, whilst ensuring communication with your stakeholders and team members is constant.

What is Important?

The officers work on a shift pattern of 12 hours per day, on a four on four off basis that can cover both days and nights. Extra hours and days of work might be required, therefore a flexible approach is essential.

The role offers a full, in-depth six month training programme and once fully trained, you'll have a passion to help and a duty to protect our customers and employees alike. You'll be a true Harrods ambassador.
